About This Product
Pointed at a wall, window or pipe, the thermometer compares the surface temperature with the dew point of the surrounding air, showing students where condensation is likely to form without working through a psychrometric chart. It is used in geography, physics and building science lessons on humidity, the water cycle, heat transfer and thermal bridging.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the alarm on the Dew Point InfraRed Thermometer show?
A three-colour LED and a buzzer signal how close the measured surface temperature is to the dew point.
Why is the emissivity adjustable?
Surfaces radiate heat differently, so setting emissivity between 0.10 and 1.00 matches the infrared reading to the material being measured.
